Successfully Empowering Diversity For A Prominent Player In The Tech Industry
A Leading Tech Industry Player’s Journey to DEI Excellence
Customer
The client, a trailblazer in the tech industry, specializes in cutting-edge automated test equipment and industrial automation. With a robust presence in North America, it is recognized for its innovative contributions to the robotics sector. The client wanted to focus on improving the number of women in their workforce.
Problem
Despite being at the forefront of tech innovation, the client’s workforce lacked adequate representation of women, posing a significant gap in their diversity and equity profile. Internal DEI metrics fell short, especially in gender diversity. Embracing DEI necessitated a cultural shift, transitioning from traditional hiring practices to inclusive approaches aimed at bolstering female representation. This underrepresentation not only impacted internal dynamics but also competitiveness in the market, where diverse teams drive innovation and performance.
Action
For over 15 years, Artech has managed the client’s contingent labor program, adapting to evolving business needs. Our high-touch service via the Master Vendor Program (MVP) ensures a flexible workforce, vital for the client’s competitive edge in the automated test equipment and industrial automation/robotics sectors. Our program allows the client to scale their workforce to match market demands, leveraging our recruitment, payroll services, and strategic supplier partnerships. Embracing DEI in 2022, we collaborated with their program manager to boost internal diversity metrics, focusing on increasing female representation in their workforce. Our MVP supported this initiative by funneling more women candidates for improved hiring metrics.
Results
The client has successfully utilized the Artech MVP program to leverage contingent labor to increase DEI metrics. In pursuit of its objective of hiring more women, it has been successfully leveraging two channels within the program; the conversion of active contingent labor headcount to full-time client roles and the promotion of additional contingent opportunities via Artech as temp-to-perm to give further impetus to the hiring of a diverse workforce.
